
In Cape Town, after the dead lock wage negotiation between South African Textile Industry unions its employers for a wage increase of 12% and better working conditions. The union has decided to take the matter to labour court in order the court to grant them with strike certificate. This will help its members not to be engaged with illegal strike. The union general secretary Cele has argued that their workers will not be involved to unprotected strike.
South African Textile industry union started to mobilise its members to be involved in a lucrative strike which will be expected to be launch soon. According to union spokesperson employers are being arrogant to such an extent that there are not will to meet halfway with as the employers propose 4.3% increase only. The strike is expected to take place soon, but according to the court order, permission has been granted but before strike takes place picketing during the launch hours is being recommended.#smed12.
